The new way to menstruate!
The Red Mvmnt, as previously said, is pro-menstrual cups. In this blog, we'll go through how to use it safely and successfully, so be ready to transform the way you deal with your period... for good! I say this because you won’t want to turn back after using a cup.
It is usually a good idea to read the instruction booklet that comes with the cup before using it. Most cups instruct to soak the cup in hot water for ten minutes before using it, as well as in between usage.
First and foremost, when using a cup, it is critical to be completely calm. If this is your first time, lie down in a relaxed position, with washed hands. It won't be perfect the first time, so practice before using it during the day. You should always practice and secure the folds of the cup. Don't worry… it’s super easy. The fundamental fold is to squeeze or fold the cup to narrow it into a U-shape. Insert it into your vagina until you hear a pop sound, which indicates that it is sealed in place. To be safe, take your index finger and gently, in a 360-degree motion, seal it around the walls of your vagina.
Depending on your flow, it should be able to stay in there for up to 12 hours. When pulling it out, make sure you gently tug on the base of the cup, then pinch the cup with your thumb to unseal the rim, you will also hear a faint pop noise. Pour the fluid into the sink or toilet, then rinse with cold and then warm water.
You're ready to go! Happy menstruating.
