OUR ORGANIZATION

The Red Mvmnt is a youth-led nonprofit that works to advance sustainable menstrual equity, which is a long-term solution to period poverty.

Sustainable menstrual equity is a three-pronged approach which includes education, provision, advocacy. 

Education

We focus on a holistic period education which includes basics of a period, various period-related health issues and their symptoms, tutorials on how to use a range of period products, and some mythbusters. Our goal is to ensure that menstruators have a hygienic, healthy period and they have the choice of how they want to experience menstruation. For more information, check out our workshops.

Provision

We provide period products of all sorts to menstruators in need, with a special focus on reusable products so menstruators are independent from donations for longer, and can menstruate hygienically in their times of need. Donate now to help menstruators across the province.

Advocacy

We strive to make menstrual equity systemic. We advocate for period positive laws, such as provision of free period products in public washrooms. Look at some of our success stories!
